PBW is built not from a simple idea or profit-driven motive, but from a genuine connection and commitment to improving animal health, nutrition, and overall wellbeing, so they can live longer, stronger, and healthier lives by our sides.
A life drawn to dogs
From as young as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to dogs and animals in general. I didn’t originally grow up in a household with pets, so I used to knock on neighbor’s doors just to spend time with theirs. One neighbour in particular had two Bloodhounds, and I’d walk them, feed them, look after them, and spend as much time around them and their owner so I could learn more about the breed.
The Moment that changed everything
Everything changed when my mother allowed me to visit a dog rescue shelter in Llanelli, Wales. The first dog I saw was a two-year-old black Labrador, shaking in the corner and barely making eye contact. When he came out of the cage, everything changed. That dog, Jasper, became my best friend and stayed by my side for 22 years. That moment shaped everything for me.
Living & Breathing Animal Care
I then spent the following years living within an animal rescue centre at South Wales Animal Rescue, where I lived and breathed the daily care of over 180 animals. From early morning, 7am, through to the evening, 8pm, I was responsible for their care 7 days a week.
That’s where my connection really deepened. Not just being around them, but understanding them properly. Dogs and horses especially became a big part of my life, riding daily and working with them consistently, giving me structure and discipline at a young age.
Passion that evolved into purpose
As I got older, that passion never left, it just evolved.
I later moved into dog breeding with a clear understanding of what it truly takes to become a breeder for the right reasons: to better a breed, to build a vision, to improve each generation, and to do it with purpose, structure and discipline. I imported my most desired dog breeds from all over the world to build the original PBW foundation in 2017, developing bloodlines across multiple breeds that are now recognised worldwide, reaching as far as USA, Australia, UK, across Europe, and into Asia. Every dog along the way is part of my life first, and PBW is not just something we did, but something me and the dogs have lived, built, and grown together over 5 generations.
A right decision for the right reasons
After years, I reached a point where I was happy with what my dogs had produced. At the same time, I knew there was something bigger to do, which led me to step away from breeding for all the right reasons.
The problem I couldn't ignore
Through owning, caring, and working with multiple breeds, I kept seeing the same issue: dogs with allergies, sensitivities, and long-term health problems that weren’t the owner’s fault. Most of the time, it came down to diet. Poorly mixed protein sources, unnecessary fillers, and confusing, misleading information from brands that make things harder than they need to be.
Why I created PBW
That’s exactly why I created PBW. I wanted to remove the confusion and create something that dogs actually love, and whole food recipes that actually work. Clean, transparent nutrition that supports dogs legitimately from puppy through to senior, without needing to constantly switch and test different food recipes or brands, or question what you’re feeding your beloved dog. Simple, controlled, transparent, and done properly.

Multi-Level Testing
Manufacturing was one of the most important and challenging parts of building PBW dog food ranges. It took years to find partners capable of producing exactly to the standards and recipes I required, without compromise. As the founder, I have personally visited and inspected each manufacturing facility, meeting every partner face-to-face, reviewing their operations, and assessing both their production environments and ingredient sourcing firsthand.
Certified Standards
Our products are manufactured in facilities operating under established food safety and quality management systems, including recognised frameworks such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO-aligned processes where applicable.
Traceability & Transparency
Each production batch is subject to defined quality control procedures. Testing is carried out at multiple levels, including within the manufacturing facility, through independent third-party laboratories in the country of production, and through additional third-party testing aligned with the most stringent global standards and regulatory requirements in the world.
Approved Global Partners
Manufacturing is carried out through approved global partners selected based on their ability to meet PBW's internal requirements for quality, safety, and traceability. All partners operate within controlled frameworks that support consistent production and ingredient accountability.
All products are produced with batch and lot identification systems in place, enabling traceability across production, testing, and distribution stages.
Continuous Improvement
PBW products are developed and supplied with the intention of meeting applicable regulatory requirements in the markets in which they are sold. Regulatory requirements and classifications may vary by region, and it is the responsibility of distributors, retailers, and end users to ensure compliance with local laws. We continuously review our processes, partners, and quality systems to maintain alignment with evolving industry standards and regulatory expectations.
