At Platinum Breeds Worldwide, our philosophy is rooted in a deep dedication to supporting the comfort, wellbeing, and longevity of dogs. Guided by worldwide veterinary insight, we have developed six carefully engineered single-source protein recipes designed to support digestion, health, performance, and long-term vitality. Most importantly, our controlled nutritional approach provides owners with greater transparency over the ingredients and protein sources included within their dog’s diet.
THE GOAL
We believe dog nutrition should be simple, clean and transparent. Our goal was to engineer formulas that deliver the highest expectations of nutrition for every dog of every breed. Many dog foods combine multiple meats, fats and long ingredient lists, making it difficult to know exactly what dogs are eating. These complicated formulas can also make it harder to identify sensitivities in dogs that struggle with certain proteins and unnecessary fillers.
LEARN BY EXPERIANCE
Platinum Breeds was created from a lifetime dedicated to dogs. As the founder, I have owned and raised dogs for more than 20 years across 13 different breeds, whilst gaining hands-on experience with many others through animal rescue, working alongside master breeders from around the world, learning from owners of a wide variety of breeds, and over recent years, working side-by-side with veterinarians from both the Eastern and Western worlds. These experiences helped develop a deep understanding of canine nutrition, health, behaviour, and individual breed requirements. Drawing upon guidance from veterinary professionals across both the Eastern and Western worlds, each bringing valuable and often differing perspectives on canine nutrition, wellbeing, and natural support, I have invested 6 years studying and combining these approaches before I ever considered producing the first PBW recipe. This knowledge and experience has helped shape PBW’s philosophy: honest, carefully considered nutrition designed around the real needs, health, and long-term wellbeing of dogs. Through years of learning from breeders, owners, nutritionists, and veterinarians across the globe, one conclusion consistently remained the same: nutrition is, and always will be, the gold standard upon which canine health is built, and one of the most important factors owners can control when making informed feeding decisions.

This approach allows all dogs to receive powerful nutrition, whilst also providing owners with greater control and transparency over the protein sources included within their dog’s diet. By keeping every recipe simple and clearly defined, owners have greater visibility over the protein sources included within their dog’s diet, which can be particularly beneficial for those who wish to monitor individual protein sources or are undertaking a food trial.

PBW avoids complexity around too many ingredients that can sometimes trigger reactions in certain dogs, such as filler ingredients or additives that some dogs may react to. This helps provide owners with greater visibility over the ingredients and protein sources included within their dog’s diet through a clearly defined single-source protein structure. By keeping every recipe clearly defined and easy to understand, owners can make more informed feeding decisions whilst knowing exactly what their dog is consuming.

PBW recipes are intentionally designed with extremely short, clean, and whole ingredient lists, containing as few as 8 ingredients and no more than 14 ingredients per recipe. Every ingredient is chosen because it provides a clear nutritional benefit. No complicated protein blends. No confusing ingredient lists. Every recipe is built around one clearly defined animal protein source. This transparent approach allows owners to understand exactly what protein their dog is consuming whilst helping support dogs that may experience sensitivities associated with certain ingredients, including digestive discomfort, skin irritation, ear issues, or watery eyes.
The recognised gold standard for identifying food sensitivities is a structured food trial. PBW’s single-protein philosophy gives owners the freedom to identify which protein source best suits their individual dog whilst avoiding unnecessary complexity and expense. It also allows dogs to discover which of PBW’s six carefully crafted recipes they enjoy most.

Puppy & Nursing Mother - Mousse

This Stage Shapes a Lifetime
The first year of a dog’s life is the most important period of growth and development. During this critical stage, puppies rapidly build strong bones, develop lean muscle, strengthen their immune systems, and establish the foundations for long-term health and wellbeing. The PBW Puppy Range is bursting with nutrition that has been carefully formulated into a smooth, creamy, mousse consistency. Our puppy & nursing mother range follows the same nutritional philosophy found throughout the PBW range, whilst providing increased levels of protein, healthy fats, essential minerals, vitamins, and key nutrients to support healthy growth, cognitive development, immune function, and the increased energy demands of puppyhood.
The PBW Puppy Range is also designed to support nursing mothers and can be fed alongside the PBW All Life Stages Kibble Range from approximately day 30 of pregnancy, throughout gestation, birth, and the nursing period. During these demanding stages, mothers require significantly more energy, protein, minerals, vitamins, and essential nutrients to support both their own condition and the healthy development of their puppies. By feeding both the mother and her litter throughout the first 6–8 weeks after birth, the PBW Puppy Range helps provide the nutritional support required for the mother’s recovery whilst helping ensure growing puppies receive the nourishment needed during this crucial stage of development.
Once puppies begin weaning, the PBW Puppy Range can be gradually mixed with any recipe from the PBW All Life Stages Kibble Range, allowing a smooth and natural transition from approximately week 8 onwards. By around week 15, owners are encouraged to complete the transition onto the PBW All Life Stages Range, whilst also incorporating any of our other carefully crafted and appetising ranges to provide additional variety within a balanced diet. Wet Food Range
The PBW Complimentary Wet Food Range is made using fresh meat and gently cooked in its own bone broth. Each recipe is intentionally simple, containing approximately 5–6 carefully selected core ingredients to enhance your dog’s existing meal.
Designed to be fed alongside dry food, it allows owners to add variety, texture, and additional hydration to their dog’s diet whilst maintaining the same nutritional philosophy found throughout the PBW ranges. Each recipe is built around one clearly defined animal protein source, making it easy for owners to understand exactly what protein their dog is consuming.
For dogs without known sensitivities, recipes may be rotated and enjoyed as part of a varied feeding approach. However, for owners undertaking a food trial to identify potential sensitivities or allergies, it is recommended to remain consistent with the same single protein source throughout the trial period. This allows owners to accurately assess how their dog responds to a specific protein whilst avoiding unnecessary variables. Whether mixed with kibble, given as a treat, served as a topper, or incorporated into a varied feeding routine, the PBW Complimentary Wet Food Range provides a simple way to reward your dog with a delicious addition to each meal.

What PBW will never use?
Many commercial pet foods use complex ingredient listings and formulations that can be difficult for owners to fully understand. This can contribute to uncertainty and confusion around what dogs are truly eating, and may impact health issues and digestive discomfort for some dogs. As the founder of PBW, I experienced this first hand, this is exactly why I created PBW recipes: to prioritise clarity, transparency, and simplicity in dog nutrition.
These ingredients can sometimes contribute to common problems seen in dogs such as digestive upset, skin irritation, ear infections, excessive itching, watery eyes or inflammatory reactions.
PBW was built around a different standard, complete ingredient transparency, and nutritional integrity.
For this reason, the following ingredients are permanently and strictly excluded from every PBW formula.
Cereals
Cereal ingredients such as wheat, corn, or unspecified grain blends are often used in pet foods as low-cost fillers.
For some dogs, these ingredients can be harder to digest and may contribute to sensitivities, digestive discomfort, or skin irritation.
PBW formulas instead focus on carefully selected, digestible whole-food carbohydrate sources that provide balanced energy without unnecessary fillers.
Meat & Animal Derivatives
The term "meat and animal derivatives" is often used to describe unspecified animal by-products.
This lack of clarity can include a wide range of materials, making it difficult to determine exactly what protein source a dog is consuming.
For dogs with sensitivities, this uncertainty may contribute to digestive upset or skin-related issues.
PBW does not permit vague ingredient terminology. Every protein used is clearly defined and traceable.
Artificial Flavourings
Artificial flavourings may be added to enhance taste, particularly in some formulations.
These additives provide no nutritional value and, in certain cases, may contribute to sensitivities or behavioural changes in some dogs.
PBW recipes rely on natural flavour derived directly from real ingredients.
Sepiolite (E562)
Sepiolite is a clay-based anti-caking agent that may be used in pet food production.
While permitted for use, PBW chooses not to include mineral-based anti-caking agents in its formulas.
Artificial Preservatives
Synthetic preservatives such as BHA, BHT, and Ethoxyquin have historically been used to extend shelf life.
Some research has raised questions regarding their long-term use.
PBW recipes are preserved using carefully selected methods designed to maintain product quality and freshness.
Artificial Colours
Artificial colours such as Red 40, Blue 2, or Yellow 5 may be added for visual appearance.
As dogs do not select food based on colour, these additives serve no nutritional purpose and may contribute to sensitivities in some dogs.
PBW formulas contain no artificial colouring agents.
Meat By-Products
Meat by-products can vary in composition and quality depending on sourcing and processing.
Without clear identification, these ingredients may provide inconsistent nutritional value and may be less suitable for dogs with sensitivities.
PBW uses clearly defined animal protein sources only.
Unnamed Meat Meals or Fats
Ingredients labelled as "meat meal" or "animal fat" do not specify the source animal.
This lack of transparency can create uncertainty around consistency and suitability for dogs with specific sensitivities.
PBW recipes always identify exact single protein sources for full clarity.
Yeast-Based Additives
Some formulations include yeast or yeast-derived ingredients which, in certain dogs, may contribute to sensitivities such as skin irritation or digestive discomfort.
PBW recipes are formulated to avoid unnecessary additives of this nature.
PBW formulations are developed based on current nutritional knowledge, ingredient selection standards, and internal quality guidelines. Individual dogs may respond differently depending on their specific needs, sensitivities, and health conditions.
